School of Apollos 2017

Matthew: a paradigm for making disciples

We are happy to announce that details are available for School of Apollos in January:

MATTHEW: A PARADIGM FOR MAKING DISCIPLES

If Matthew is designed as a paradigm for making disciples, should we read and understand it differently than we do?

In these sessions we will engage with the text of Matthew to discover its structure, purpose, and content. We will also explore the crucial concept of being disciples and making disciples.

Come prepared to engage, change, and grow. We will wrestle with questions such as:

  • How is Matthew structured for making disciples?
  • What is contextualization? How do we ‘do it’, and why is it essential?
  • How can we do the same kinds of things as the first disciples?
  • How can we listen to, learn, and live Matthew to make differences that matter for us, the Church, and the World?
