Weekend in the Word 2018

The Point of Compass Call newsletter, late winter edition

Weekend in the Word 2018This is the first time I have written The Point for an upcoming event when the one just before it hasn’t even happened yet! As you may know, the School of Apollos is two weeks later than usual and Weekend in the Word is two weeks earlier than usual.  However, by the time you read this, the School of Apollos will have already finished.

Peter Daley (Montana) is our speaker this time. He helped us at Issachar last fall, and you’ll really appreciate his genuine love for the work and Word of God. He is an experienced missionary, classroom teacher, and Bible camp and conference speaker. Perhaps he will take time to give us all some details from his life in those areas.

He’ll be tackling the subject of “What does it mean to be a Christian?” or “What does a believer look like?”–based on life lessons from the book of I John. It will be intensely practical and by the time you’re finished, you’ll also have a better grasp of I John itself.

Just a heads up: After ten years of being in Foremost, Weekend in the Word will now be held in Milk River. This shift has been in the works for years, but the final straw was that renting the Foremost Community Hall became just too expensive.
