The Point of Compass Call, late winter edition

“…equipped for every good work…” 2 Timothy 3:17

It’s hard to believe that we are now in our twelfth year of Weekend in the Word (2007-2019)! I have lost track of exactly how many we’ve held, but probably in the twenty-plus range. We started out with two a year, but shifted to once a year, once the other schools that Compass Call oversaw started up.

Hundreds of believers, young and old, have come “through the doors” of Weekend in the Word (WW) these past twelve years. It seems to have been a real blessing to all—and “all” includes attendees, speakers, and our own host church. (We’d love to hear from you if Weekend in the Word has been a blessing to you.)

While numbers are no longer what they once were at WW, we still see it as a vital ministry of our church, as well as an encouragement to those who attend. It is a nice balance of a significant time in the Word, plus a great time of fellowship for attendees.

Peter Daley (Montana), our speaker from last year, is back again. He’ll take up the theme of “True Discipleship,” a much needed, practical teaching these days.

It would be great if you could attend!
