The Point of Compass Call, winter edition

SCHOOL OF APOLLOS

“… mighty in the Scriptures …” Acts 18:24

Here we go again, another version of “What’s the Point?” as we start a brand-new year for Compass Call. I have lost count of the overall number of events that we have had (over 40, I think) since we started in 2007! God has been so faithful to all who have attended, and one of the greatest displays of that is in the teaching servants He has sent our way.

Rick Clendining is the School of Apollos’s next teacher, and he will be tackling I Timothy. He is no stranger to these events. You will recall Rick from the most recent School of Issachar and last year’s Weekend in the Word. I know you and your friends will be challenged with his orthodox yet practical approach to Scriptures.

There are many benefits from looking at I Timothy. One that stands out in my mind is the fact that it addresses many matters facing young Christians. Of course, that doesn’t mean older believers can’t benefit from it!

The setting at Deer Valley Meadows is beautiful, too: There are opportunities for walking, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, and playing games (inside and outside); and there’s a library, great accommodations, exceptional food, and much more.

See you there!
